Ward Churchill and Larry Summers

Following up on the this post, I think it’s worth contemplating why, in the view of the professoriate, Ward Churchill’s fraud, plagiarism, and comparison of the September 11 victims to Nazis are all protected by academic freedom, but Harvard PresidentLarry Summers’ citations of academic studies suggesting that there might be factors other than sexism that contribute to women making up less than 50% of tenured science professors is not so protected.
