Flying the Flag at the State Department

From PubliusPundit via Jane Galt comes a report that the British flag is flying in front of the State Department today, the first time a foreign flag has ever been flown there.

(OK, this is not the time for jokes about the War of 1812, or about how flying Saudi Arabia’s flag there would be redundant… . As Pejman reminds us, “After the September 11th attacks, Queen Elizabeth ordered her own guards to play–at the Changing of the Guard–The Star Spangled Banner in lieu of the traditional God Save The Queen.“)
