Global Warming — on Mars!

I’ve previously mentioned the evidence of global warming happening on Mars, but here’s yet more evidence of it from JPL (a place that I used to work):

And for three Mars summers in a row, deposits of frozen carbon dioxide near Mars’ south pole have shrunk from the previous year’s size, suggesting a climate change in progress.

If only we had ratified Kyoto.

Shouldn’t that be, “If only the Martians had ratified Kyoto”? Or better yet, “This proves that George W. Bush is a Martian!!!!!” ;-)

Clayton Cramer has more discussion and links on the science of all this here.

A question for you, D. R.: suppose you had high cholesterol (sp). You found out that this
problem runs in your family. Does this mean that you shouldn’t try to do things like exercise
    and eat properly?

Same thing with global warming. It is real; what is unclear is how much humans have contributed
to it. Still, shouldn’t we take reasonable measures to NOT make things worse, EVEN if human
activity hasn’t been proved to be the primary cause?
