Who’s a Weasel?!?!?

Filed under: — Different River @ 1:48 am

A post of mine appears to have been nominated for some sort of vote by something called “The Watcher’s Council,” which is hosted at a blog called Watcher of Weasels.

This sounds pretty nefarious — do they think I am a weasel? — until you read the council’s rules, which says they are to nominate and vote for their “favorite” links. Hmm, that sounds nicer. And here, the “Watcher” says, “[M]embers of the Watcher’s Council hold a vote every week on what we consider to be the most link-worthy pieces of writing around.” Well, that’s more like it!

For what it’s worth, I did not use this procedure to get nominated. This was completely unsolicited. But thanks to whoever nominated me!

UPDATE (10/14/05):

I didn’t win. In fact, I tied for last in the voting. Oh, well. It was an honor to have been nominated.

What’s being written about in some (not all!) of my favorite blogs: Yankee From Mississippi has been quiet for a while. Shannon recently graduated from law school, and I was under the mistaken impression that she was busy job hunting
