    About RPN: in mathematics, different disciplines write their functions in a different order.

    The classical algebra types would write the function f(x) as “xf” as in “x, operated on by f” whereas topologists and analysts write “fx” (f, operating on x). RPN corresponds to classical algebraist notation.
